The Client

Loom Talent have been retained by a forward-thinking leading Logistics services provider, renowned for its commitment to delivering top-notch logistics solutions in the fast-moving world FMCG. As a key player in the industry, they pride themselves on a commitment to delivering excellence service, now seeking a Regional Transport Manager to oversee key sites in predominately the Peterborough, Cambridgeshire and East Anglian region.

This role would suit a single site Transport Manager, stepping into multi-site operations, or an established multi-site / Regional Transport Manager.

The Role

As the Regional Transport Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing end to end operations, leading multi-site transport operations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a small Administration & Planning team along with c. 100 drivers.
• Oversee the subcontract & Haulier relationships across the region - c. 50 vehicles.
• Lead all operational H&S, Compliance and Fleet Maintenance agendas across the Transport operation.
• Ensuring seamless coordination and optimisation of logistics operations from an internal synergy and continuous improvement perspective.
• Implementing best practices whilst ensuring sufficient usage of the TMS platform.
• To help support and develop individuals, provide developmental opportunities within the business.
• Daily travel between sites is essential for this role.

The Candidate

The successful candidate for the Transport Manager position will possess:

• A Logistics Distribution & Supply Chain Background - Essential.
• A CPC National / International qualification, demonstrating your deep understanding of transportation regulations – Essential.
• 3+ years Transport management experience within a 3PL / Haulage / Retail or FMCG environment – Essential.
• Proven experience in managing 100+ vehicles – Essential.
• Sub-contract management experience - Highly Advantageous.
• A true passion for people development, providing excellent service and continuous improvement - Advantageous.
• Strong leadership skills and a commitment to fostering a culture of excellence - Essential.
• Commutable to the Peterborough, Cambridgshire, East Anglia regions each day - Essential.

Salary & Package:

• Salary - £45,000.
