What to expect

As a Regional Manager at the Post Office you will have the opportunity to play a significant role in the continual change and development of our field based support function. Responsible for providing inspirational leadership to up to 10 Area Managers and 2 Business Support Managers, enabling them to deliver fantastic results and support the roughly 1100 Post Offices in their area.

You will enable your team to build effective commercial relationships, drive sales and deliver excellent customer service all with the aim of supporting our Postmasters in maximising their own business potential. You will have ownership of your region’s strategic business plan implementation as well as interface with key business stakeholders and the broader Postmaster teams to deliver the wider business strategy.

What you’ll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will be a positive and dynamic business leader ideally with experience in Retail Franchise. In addition, you will possess:•    The ability to lead people in a complex and agile environment, and deliver substantial business change initiatives •    Strong leadership skills with the ability to build successful teams focussed on common goals•    Be commercially orientated with good business acumen, analytical and numerate, with the ability to understand and interpret trends from data•    Excellent influencing and communication skills. Able to deliver messages effectively at all levels•    Senior management experience ideally working in a large, complex retail environment •    A demonstrable track record developing teams to maximise their potential
