The role

The Rightmove Landlord and Tenant Services (RLTS) division is growing. We’re an ambitious team who really celebrate ideas and innovation, championing our people to play an influential part in our journey. We have some truly exciting plans to make our flagship referencing team even bigger and better, meaning now is the perfect time to get involved in a growing business with lots of opportunity.

We work on behalf of letting agents to reference prospective tenants for rental properties across the UK, which includes obtaining references from previous landlords and assessing financial suitability. It is a fast-paced role with a high volume of inbound and outbound calls, so you need to be a confident verbal communicator. In addition to call handling, you will be responding to emails and assessing documentary evidence, so attention to detail is key. We pride ourselves on offering outstanding customer service to our clients and require passionate and committed individuals to join us as we continue our growth.

What you’ll be doing

· Progressing applications for prospective tenants and ensuring they are completed in a timely manner.

· Making and receiving phone calls consistently throughout the day, and sending emails to chase responses from tenants, landlords, employers, and any other relevant referees.

· Assessing emails and documentary evidence to establish a tenant’s affordability and suitability for a property, and to ensure they are credible sources of information.

· Educating tenants and their referees on the requirements of referencing and assisting them in how to provide the necessary information and/or evidence.

· Completing detailed and accurate final reports to make recommendations to our clients (letting agents) based on the information gathered.

· Achieving targets and KPIs relevant to email turnaround time and the number of final reports provided to our clients.

What you’ll bring to the role

· Excellent verbal communication skills – you will be confident talking on the telephone and in person, be professional and approachable.

· A passion for customer service.

· The ability and drive to work in a fast-paced and changeable environment where you may need to adapt to business developments and customer needs.

· A confident approach to managing varying workloads.

· A good level of written communication skills and the ability to make accurate records.

· Experience of managing your own workload.

· The motivation to achieve personal goals as well as those of the wider team, department and business.

· The ability to demonstrate good judgement and a decisive mindset.

· A willingness to learn, develop and build on feedback.

· The ability to follow defined processes with clear accuracy and attention to detail.

· An enthusiasm to be part of and drive our company culture, enjoy the journey and be part of it.
