It’s a fantastic time to be joining the HR & OD Team at Brent Council as Recruitment & Resourcing Manager. As a result of our ambitious new transformation programme and significant investment in our HR and OD services, we have created several exciting new roles in the team.

You will play a key role in supporting our managers and delivering a culture change programme. Therefore, we’re looking for change makers, visionaries, and inspiring people who share our aspiration to deliver a first-class HR & OD service.

About the role

As Recruitment & Resourcing Manager at Brent you will be the Council’s strategic resourcing and recruitment lead.

You’ll provide guidance across the Council on all aspects of recruitment, including employment legislation and best practice, as well as developing and managing the full lifecycle of recruitment services.

You will also be responsible for developing Brent’s employer brand, raising the Council’s profile in the recruitment space through improved advertising and social media content.

We encourage flexible working, meaning you will have the option to work two days a week from home.

About you

You will be a passionate HR professional who cares deeply about your work and making a difference. You will possess a degree or equivalent professional experience.

It’s essential for success in this role that you possess experience in delivering resourcing strategies to increase hires and candidate quality, as well as in leading recruitment teams across a complex organisation.

You’ll also have an excellent knowledge of recruitment legislation, workforce planning, and contract management, and be able to apply this in your practice.

Experience in a local authority is desirable but not essential.
