Quantity Surveyor / £60-£65,000 + Car Allowance / ManchesterWe Build Recruitment are on the lookout for a Quantity Surveyor based in the North West that comes from a Mechanical and Electrical background and is experienced in a number of different commercial projects.Being one of the largest contractors in the region and frequently the principle contractor, they have an incredible flow of work continually inbound. Therefore, they find themselves continually growing and in the need of Quantity Surveyors.Given their role as principle contractor, it’s preferable that you’ve had experience working with one. The projects you’ll be working on span a wide range and will include the electrical and mechanical packages of new builds such as hospitals, residential buildings, universities etc. As well as fitouts of other commercial units.The salary on offer is in the region of £65,000 with a car allowance on top alongside the normal private health care and company pension plan.Job Role: * Implementation, and management of both efficient and effective commercial procedures throughout the project * Providing commercial insights, driving profitable growth, and supporting the delivery of the organisation’s long-term goals. * Key commercial interface across the account on all commercial issues. * Preparation of contract variations and client finance model. * Participate in contractual negotiations alongside the Senior Leadership Team. * Providing support to the operations team on any commercial issues * Assist with the procurement of sub cub contract packages * Submission and agreement of variations on each project * Responsible for overseeing the commissioning and witnessing of all systems. * Monthly Cost reportingSkills and Qualifications: * Previous experience working on commercial projects as a Quantity Surveyor * HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying or Similar * High degree of commercial awareness * Evidence of commercial control and understanding of P&L * Fully competent use of Word/Outlook/ Excel and Microsoft Project is required for this roleIf you meet the above requirements and are interested in the Quantity Surveyor role, please click ‘apply now’ and a member of our team will be in contact
