Quantity Surveyor in Dukinfield

Propsource Consulting are working with a well-known developer who are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their newly formed construction team in their Manchester office.

Working closely alongside directors and project managers, you will be responsible for managing projects from inception through to completion maintaining projects are on budget and within programme.

The ideal candidate will be looking for the next step in their career, with the potential to progress and grow within the business to help shape its future within this newly formed construction division.

Role Overview

• Administering a variety of contracts in accordance with project objectives
• Providing accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to completion in line with budget
• Pro-actively monitoring and managing cost vibrance and contract cash flow and ensuring that applications are made correctly and in a timely manner
• Collaborating with teams to manage the delivery of project deliverables, KPI's and objectives including programme performance, cost control and value engineering
• Managing contract change effectively
• Driving improvements in the accuracy of forecasts and budgets
• Proactively providing sound commercial knowledge and support to all stakeholders
• Ensuring that all final accounts are negotiated and agreed

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelors degree or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills
• Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as different procurement routes, value management and value engineering
• Previous contractor side QS experience
• Experience in property/construction, cost planning and contract administration
• UK driving license
