Quantity Surveyor in Bridgend

Involve Recruitment are in search for a Quantity Surveyor for our client a civil engineering, building works, design and build, building refurbishment and maintenance works construction outfit.

Duties of this role will require general responsibilities of a Quantity Surveyor carrying out detailed Groundworks take offs as well as an ability to perform physical measurements.

Ideal candidate will have 5 - 10 years experience in said position.

Responsibilities: * Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects * Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments * Analyse and evaluate contractor bids and proposals * Monitor project costs and ensure adherence to budget * Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to develop cost-effective solutions * Review and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors * Perform quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities * Conduct site visits to assess progress and verify quantitiewsExperience: * Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (not essential) * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role * Strong knowledge of cost control principles and techniques * Proficient in using cost estimation software and tools * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills * Attention to detail and accuracy in calculations * Effective communication and negotiation skillsAs a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in the successful completion of construction projects.
