Hemel Hempstead (Site-based, Monday to Friday)

£45k - £55k, depending on experience, plus bonus, pension, life insurance, and 25 days holiday

Our client, a dynamic high growth brand within the cosmetics & household space based in the Hemel Hempstead area, is seeking to recruit a QC Chemist to join their expanding team!

What will my key accountabilities be?

As a QC Chemist, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the stability and correct manufacturing of all products. Your role will encompass comprehensive end-to-end quality control, involving documentation and testing, reviewing raw materials, overseeing our clients' mixing processes to ensure compliance with relevant ISO or GMP requirements, authorizing production runs, troubleshooting QA/QC failures, and resolving problems.

You will collaborate with a production team consisting of a Head of Production, a Production Manager, and Product Mixers. In your role, you will be supported by a team of Product Development Chemists and the Operations Director. Together, you will work on analogous projects related to QA, such as establishing QC systems and processes with clear accountability.

A great candidate will have:

Essential:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering (other STEM subjects may be considered).

Preferred:

• Experience within the Cosmetics, Household, or Beauty industries.
• Experience working in a laboratory.
• Previous involvement in research & development and production environments.
• Knowledge of GMP and ISO standards.
