Randstad are recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to join Wirral Council's Permanence team. This is a full time role offering up to £38 per hour.

Responsibilities:

  • You will ensure that all children and young people grow up in a safe and secure environment which meets their diverse needs and in which they can thrive.
  • Develop children and families' strengths and resilience, and we put them at the heart of everything we do.
  • You will be experienced, dynamic and highly motivated social worker who shares our aspirations for children and young people in care in Oldham.
  • You will be passionate about securing good outcomes for children, young people and families.
  • Our Permanence Team is a well-resourced team dedicated to supporting children and young people where care proceedings have been concluded and stability and permanency is a priority.
  • You will carry a smaller caseload to support a child- focussed, responsive and consistent approach.
  • You will be required to undertake evidence-based assessments, implement SMART Care Plans and Pathway Plans, working from a multi-agency approach.
  • You will have a role in proceedings, including Discharge of Care Orders and Special Guardianship Orders, as well as acting as corporate parent to children and young people in our care.
  • You will have a strong commitment to working with children in care and relish the opportunity to make a difference in an environment that is structured and targeted towards effective delivery.

Requirements:

  • Social Work England registered
  • Social Work Degree or equivilent
  • Enhanced DBS
