Role Overview:


The psychotherapist role is central to the work we do, and provides invaluable observation,

support and reflection to clients and team members alike. Central to the role is

providing continuity and support across the programme and throughout the client’s

time at Orri - meeting clients from assessment, during their treatment planning and

working alongside loved ones and the wider Orri team to ensure relevant

considerations to their ongoing treatment plan recognise their therapeutic needs and

goals.


Main Duties:


• Work across the on-line and in person day care/ outpatients settings providing client

assessment, client sessions, running groups, attending clinical meetings and

providing client follow up.

• Contribute to risk assessment and risk management undertaken by the Multidisciplinary Team using MEED risk management procedures.

• Support the client and their family when transitioning to other services and work

alongside other professionals within and outside of the service.

• Devise and deliver set group therapy sessions to groups of up to 8 client’s and

maintain an individual case load of clients.

• The post holder will be expected to practice within a legal & ethical framework as

defined by:

  1. National mental health related legislation – Mental health Act & Mental
  2. capacity Act
  3. Orri policy, guidelines and protocols
  4. The Nice Guidelines
  5. BACP/UKCP/NCS/HACP and/or other relevant registration bodies


Desired Skills and Expertise:


• Comply with the BACP or UKCP Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct. Have completed an accredited psychotherapy or counselling training to MSC or equivalent level.

• Experience delivering individual and group therapies.

• Experience working with clients who have had an eating disorder.

• Maintaining a professional portfolio for CPD recording learning outcomes through participation in internal and external development opportunities.

• The ability to critically evaluate current research and apply to practice.

• Reviews and reflect on own practice and performance through effective use of professional and operational supervision and appraisal.

• Highly developed communication and negotiation skills.

Schedule: 24 to 40 hours per week. We are looking for both full-time and part-time.
