Prospero Teaching are looking for passionate and ambitious Psychology Graduates with a passion for supporting students with SEMH needs in an alternative provision near Macclesfield.
The students will be aged 11 - 18 and it is essential that you have experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs.
Position Details:Location MacclesfieldPosition Graduate Teaching AssistantType of work General Teaching Assistant work with small groups of Children with SEMH needsposition start date May 2024Duration TemporaryFull timeMinimum rate - GBP100 per dayHours 8:30 am 4:30pm : Mon Fri (term time only)Responsibilities:Working with and providing support to children with SEN (Special Educational Needs)Experience of supporting pupils with SEMH needsThe willingness to provide an environment in which pupils can reach their full potentialThe ability to build rapports with the children, supporting their social and behavioural needs, and acting as a mentorRole Requirements:Psychology (BA Hons) degreeEnhanced DBS (clean and relevant) Can be obtained through Prospero TeachingSafeguarding certificate, prevent awareness, FGM - essentialBehaviour management training - desirableA committed and enthusiastic attitude to workExcellent communication skills and the ability to form new relationshipsDesirable:Previous experience working with young peopleGood knowledge of SEMH needsProspero Teaching is able to offer the successful candidate:Free, accredited continued professional development courses including safeguarding and behaviour managementIn-house Training and Development TeamIdeal for graduates looking to gain experience within an alternative educational settingIf you would like to be considered for this role, please click apply Unfortunately, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
