You’re a motivated and experienced Product Owner to lead the development and continuous improvement of our mobile application.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and customer support, to ensure our app meets user needs and drives business growth.

We're a distributed team, with the primary engineering teams in Portugal and UK.

Our wider team are on most continents of the world.

Your day to day team will be based in a European timezone (GMT +/- 2h).

Our working language is English.

This role is primarily remote, with occassional travel/office visits.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Refine and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring features and improvements align with the product vision set by the business.
  • Write user stories and acceptance criteria with support from the engineering team, ensuring clarity and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, identify user needs, and agree on the roadmap.
  • Work closely with engineering and design teams to deliver high-impact features and changes on time.
  • Conduct market research when required, and competitive analysis to stay informed about industry trends and best practices.
  • Monitor and analyse product performance, using data to drive decisions and optimize the user experience.
  • Communicate product updates and progress to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment across the organisation, including sprint demos.
  • Act as the voice of the customer, advocating for user needs and ensuring our app delivers an exceptional user experience.

Required skills and qualifications

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience as a Product Owner, preferably in fintech.
  • Experience with mobile applications is essential to success in this role.
  • Good understanding of Agile methodologies and experience with Scrum and Kanban; you’ll be required to attend all Agile ceremonies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing mobile applications.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making.
  • Passion for creating exceptional user experiences and a deep understanding of user-centered design principles.
