What you will do

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Product Marketing Manager to join our team. This role is integral to the product development process, delivering all aspects of bringing products to market, including managing the product roadmap, market research, product positioning and creating impactful product assets. You will possess a unique blend of analytical and creative skills, ensuring our products resonate with target audiences and achieve market success.

This role will be suitable for someone who is currently in a junior product marketing position who is looking to make their step into product management.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong blend of analytical and creative skills, capable of leading cross-functional initiatives and executing comprehensive marketing strategies. This role requires a proactive and collaborative individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to achieving outstanding results.

Main responsibilities

You will own the product development function and manage the process end to end for all product introductions, as well as taking the lead on creating impactful assets to drive successful product launches:

·      Take ownership of the smooth running of the EMEA product management function. Drive the product development process, providing leadership to the cross functional team to deliver projects OTIF.

·      Manage the creation of compelling content and assets for product launch, including photography, ATF and BTF assets, sizzle videos, how to videos and localisation for EU. Brief external agencies but also brief internal digital and e-comms teams for launch.

·      Identify and drive key initiatives with respect to consumer facing collateral (e.g. packaging, digital user manual, how to guides etc) to offer a best-in-class product experience.

·      Measure the efficacy of the live portfolio and new product launches and monitor in- market performance, benchmarking targets, competitors, markets. Report on product performance and making recommendations for product lifecycle management.

·      Manage new product cost data and quotes, ensuring communication and sign off to maintain profit margin requirements. Maintain and communicate costs to wider commercial team.

·      Support the Sales team in preparation and delivery of customer presentations in capacity of product and category expert, preparing comprehensive selling stories and sell-in kits and training internal and external stakeholders, as required, on all aspects of the live product portfolio.

·      Provide market intelligence to build an intimate knowledge of the consumer segments, markets and competitors, continually monitoring key competitor activities, conducting ongoing research of markets and acting as the voice of the consumer to help guide product and marketing communications strategy and tactics.

·      Support the marketing team in creation of copy and content for all product centric collateral (trade & consumer)

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

·      Proven experience (3+ years) in product marketing, or a related role, preferably within consumer goods or FMCG.

·      Highly creative and experience of creating compelling content and assets

·      A sound understanding of the product development process

·      Detail orientated with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects at a time and a track record of delivering detailed projects on time

·      Experience of working in a fast-paced environment

·      Strong commercial mindset and analytic ability

·      Excellent all-round communicator – (English, written and oral)

·      Strong presentation & interpersonal skills.

·      Strong IT skills with the ability to analyse, absorb, reflect and respond to data/information

·      Passion for food/cooking and knowledge of trends in this sector

Desirable:

·      Experience in e-commerce; knowledge of modern retail distribution, both store based and web based, and the tools that can be developed to maximise brand impact at point of sale.

·      Broad knowledge of UK and European retail.

·      Experience of working across multiple regions.
