Could you be our new Procurement Officer.

As a procurement professional with a proven track record in the delivery of end to end tenders and quote processes and associated administration.

You’ll really know how to apply the most effective procurement strategies using your knowledge of the UK legislative framework to meet our needs while promoting ethical practice and delivery of Social Value.

You’ll be responsible for undertaking procurement tasks in compliance with corporate procurement policy, strategy, financial regulations and legislation including but not limited to:

  • RfQs in accordance with Group Policy and good practice
  • Running compliant above and below threshold tenders in accordance with
  • policy, regulations, and legislation
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders in a collaborative and solutions-oriented manner

If you have a background in public sector procurement then great, but we will also be happy to receive applications from candidates with transferrable skills from a corporate procurement role, sales or contract management position who are prepared to undertake training in public sector procurement.

A few key points from our role profile:

  • Undertake cradle-to-grave procurement from scoping and supplier engagement through to award including all associated administration and management of tenders using the e-tendering portal (currently ProContract) against the planned procurement program.
    • Taking consideration of matters such as TUPE, Section 20 Consultation as part of the procurement process.
  • Act as a point of escalation for Contract Managers across the business and facilitate negotiations, value engineering and KPI reporting across a range of goods, works and services.
  • Supplier Relationship Management, including risk management and Management of supplier documentations, due diligence and supplier assurance checks from onboarding to termination/final account.
  • Maintain records of procurement activities, ensuring these are open and auditable and ensuring that the Contracts Register is up to date and accurate.
  • Completion of monthly and annual spend analysis and wider reporting.
  • Provide cover for the Procurement and Contract Manager when required.
