Procurement Manager in Milton Keynes

Synchro are proud to be partnering with a well-known organisation who are actively seeking to hire a Procurement Manager.

Join our dynamic Procurement function, responsible for the sourcing and contract management of goods, equipment, and services.

Lead and drive category and sourcing strategies, and establish effective contract management practices through managing a growing team of procurement specialists.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Lead your team to produce business cases, sourcing strategies, and contract and relationship management plans.
• Category Strategy: Develop and maintain comprehensive category strategies, reviewing with the Head of Procurement and other senior stakeholders.
• Financial Management: Work with Finance leads to produce budgets, review performance, and agree on savings targets.
• Contract Negotiation: Negotiate clear, robust, and favourable contractual and commercial terms with suppliers.
• Advocacy for Change: Partner with the business to identify opportunities to improve performance, building the team’s reputation as a trusted advisor.
• Line Management: Coach and support a team of procurement specialists.

What you’ll bring to the role

• Strong experience in procurement, commercial, or contract management roles, particularly in managing or procuring service-based contracts and leading strong-performing teams.
• Relationship Building: Strong skills in building relationships and engaging with stakeholders.
• Contract Management: End-to-end experience in contract management and sourcing processes.
• Supplier Management: Experience in supplier selection, auditing, and assessments.
• Leadership: Strong leadership capabilities within a team environment and through category management.
• Qualifications: MCIPS or equivalent.
