Certain Advantage are recruiting on behalf of an ecommerce business for a Procurement Manager in Leeds.
This is a permanent position requiring you to be onsite 3 days per week.
The Role
Working closely with Finance you will be responsible for developing procurement strategy and processes, so this is a great opportunity to help shape the future of this exciting business!
As Procurement Manager you will create and deliver an effective procurement strategy.
This isn't just about reducing cost, however you will be expected to achieve savings through negotiation and vendor management.
You'll develop and maintain relationships with suppliers as well as introduce performance metrics and be responsible for addressing any performance issues as they come up.
Some more immediate activities will include supporting the implementation of a new purchasing system and assess the current processes to identify improvement opportunities.
Longer term you'll negotiate new contracts and be able to demonstrate the cost savings and efficiencies you've brought to the business.
