Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Principal Civil/Structural Engineer working in the rail sector in our bridges and structures team at Whitfield Consulting Services.
The Principal Civil/Structural Engineer will be responsible for leading the team in the performing of calculations and conducting structural analysis, and carrying out civil engineering design tasks.
They will also utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to assist with design work.
This role will be mainly located in Surbiton, with flexibility for some remote work.
Qualifications
- Strong background in structural engineering and civil engineering
- Proficiency in structural analysis and calculations
- Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus
