Principal Civil Engineer in Coleman Street

We are currently working with a major consultancy as they look to add a Principal Civil Engineer to their division in the City of London.Due to growth, this consultancy's C&S team has a need for a Principal Engineer to provide leadership to large C&S project teams or a number or smaller teams and help develop the infrastructure capability of a growing Civil and Structural department.You will ensure project teams deliver civil and structural designs to cost, schedule and quality criteria as well as ensure project teams have in place appropriate skills and resources.You will have a strong focus on ensuring compliance with business quality & management systems as well as provide your innovative input in implementing change as directed by leadershipSome of the things you will doDay-to-day management of C&S project teamsEnsure team compliance with company management systemContribute to wider development of C&S department capabilitiesLead C&S design delivery across single projects or multiple smaller projects with support from an Associate Engineer or Director, in single- or multi- discipline teamsDevelopment of programmes and control of changeTender preparation for projects of all sizes, including fee estimatesCarry out technical design reviews / critiques of projects in progressMentor, train and develop junior engineersSupport individuals to maximise performance Why this role?Fantastic opportunity to work across exciting and interesting sectors (example - Nuclear, Life Science, Defence, Power etc)Huge variety of different projects involving all facets of Civil DesignYou'd be joining a diverse and dynamic team of technically strong design engineers who are passionate about making a positive impact in their communities through the work they doYou will have access to the company's wider network of engineers and technicians where you can share ideas, discuss challenges and learnAbout You:Chartered Civil/ Structural Engineer CEng MICE/ MIStructEAppropriate depth and breadth of experience including experience in leading and managing teamsStrong technical knowledge of Civil designCSCS CardSC clearance (or eligible)Full Clean Current UK Driving Licence Company benefits include a generous company car or cash allowance, 6% matched pension contribution, flexible working, family friendly policies, an employee assistance programme, as well as a bonus scheme and paid professional subscriptions.This is a unique opportunity that is not to be missed.
