Piping Design EngineerEly, Cambridgeshire9:00am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday (Hybrid working – 3 days office, 2 days home)£38,000 - £50,000 depending on experiencePermanentBenefits: 25 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays, modern and refurbished spacious working environment, free staff parking, auto-enrolment pension scheme, cycle to work scheme, optional healthcare, training and full support in progression to professional registration/chartership.Our client based in Ely is seeking a design engineer with previous experience in designing pipework/assemblies for bespoke engineering packages.You will have knowledge of current legislation and piping codes such as ASME B31.3 and British standards.If this sounds like you please read on!Who are we?We are Busy Bee Recruitment, an awarding-winning recruitment agency supplying both temporary and permanent staffing solutions throughout the UK to our client base spanning multiple sectors including: Sales & Marketing, Admin & Customer Service, Technical & Engineering, Industrial & Manufacturing, Finance & Accountancy, Care & Education, Supply Chain & Logistics.Duties to include: * Laying out pipe routing on process drawings, pipe specifications and project requirements (e.g space restrictions, process requirements and maintenance access). * Generate conceptual 3D models. * Perform pipe stress analysis using Caesar II software and producing detailed pipe stress reports. * Create 2D CAD drawings such as piping isometrics, fabrication drawings and GA’s for manufacture. * Producing BOMs for purchasing. * Reviewing and interpreting customer specifications and national/international codes and standards. * Resolve technical queries. * Participate in key meetings * Occasion travel to a second office and site visits with clients. * Perform pipe support calculations. * Manage Junior CAD staffSkills/Experience Required: * Proficient in CAD Software (2D AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Caesar II and Navisworks) * Previous experience in designing pipework/assemblies for bespoke engineering packages. * Excellent communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills. * Degree or HND qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar.So, are you ready for your next job?
