About The RoleWe've got a fantastic opportunity for a Pharmacist to join our Southend-on-Sea store on a part time basis (3 days per week), which dispenses over 5,700 valued items on average to the local community each month.Reporting into the Pharmacy Manager, you will deliver consistently high standards of customer service and care whilst adhering to our Pharmacy Standard Operating procedures. As a Pharmacist you will:Understand customer needs and react responsibly and appropriately to any queriesMaintain a customer-focused environment creating moments that matter to our customers when they need it mostEngage confidently and compassionately with customers, guiding them to take medication safely and effectivelyEnsure product knowledge remains relevant and up to date, responding to customer needs appropriatelyProvide essential Pharmacy Services e.g. Flu Vaccines / NHS Pharmacy First Service (PFS)Work collaboratively with other pharmacy colleagues, offering support and advice where required, whilst sharing accurate information in a confidential and timely mannerSupport the Pharmacy Team and Store Manager with the delivery of agreed KPIsBe responsible for the safe, effective and legal running of the pharmacy (e.g. clinically checking prescriptions / management of Controlled Drugs / appropriate staffing levels)Follow all Pharmacy Standard Operating ProceduresSupport the completion of all pharmacy audits and any resulting actions/outputsEnsure compliance to Pharmacy Data Security & Protection at all timesOversee the ordering and replenishment of pharmacy stock and control the sale of medicines, particularly those subject to misuse and abuseReport any dispensing errors and near missesAct promptly to any stock recall notices / drug alertsBuild relationships GPs & other appropriate Healthcare Professionals in the communityUse expert knowledge & opportunistic interventions to deliver pharmacy services and sales, whilst complying with any clinical, ethical and professional requirementsAbout YouYou will:Possess a Pharmacy degreeBe registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)Have experience of working in the community pharmacy sectorDemonstrate experience of working as part of a successful teamShow care and compassion for customers with a customer first ethosBe enthusiastic and committed to delivering pharmacy services and KPIsDeliver the highest level of customer service, building relationships with customers, colleagues and the communityPharmacists working for Morrisons will have to complete a DBS check (organised by us) prior to commencement of employment.Morrisons Pharmacies offer colleagues a high level of working flexibility and control over their work rotas.
