We have over 4,000 part-time or adult learners and 2,000 apprentices where we work with over 800 individual employers. Personal Tutors will support students and measure the impact of tutorials, through identification of student strengths, aspirations and needs. You will agree and monitor targets to facilitate progress in both academic and personal goals, relative to their starting point.   In addition to those with existing tutoring experience, this position would also suit someone currently working in a Teaching Assistant role and/or recent graduates who are considering a career in teaching.You will deliver a variety of group tutorials that will support the students with their personal development and wellbeing. It is this holistic and varied support that will be crucial to improving students’ confidence in their next steps.The College considers its tutorial system to be a vital element in the support, engagement and retention of students. As a Personal Tutor you will be a central contact for the student and will actively promote pastoral support from enrolment and right through to the end of the ‘student journey’. Along with the curriculum team, you will enable a supportive transition and induction process through contact with student and parents.
