Contract Type: Permanent (Part time/20hours)
Essex Highways (EH), one of the nation's leading highway networks, is managed through a dynamic partnership between Essex County Council (ECC) and Ringway Jacobs. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our contractual partner to deliver exceptional highway services. Your responsibilities will include investigating and monitoring streetworks, as well as supporting the coordination of various resources. This role is pivotal in fulfilling our network management duties and ensuring the safety of the traveling public.
The Role
•Contribute to delivery of the Network Management Duty
•To help in the operation of the Permit Scheme in accordance with Scheme Document and Section 3 of the Traffic Management Act.
•Assist the Senior Permit Officer and other Senior Officers to ensure delivery of the Essex Highways and Essex Permit Scheme objectives, as defined in agreed service plans, in accordance with all council and Essex Highways standards and policies.
•Assess and process Streetworks permits within requisite timescales and in accordance with good practice and legislation ensuring that the appropriate conditions are applied as necessary
•Taking ownership of your own workload whilst assisting with the team’s workload as capacity allows.
About You
•GCSE grades A-C/9-4 in Maths and English
•Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel & Power BI
