Job Description

The People Analytics team is responsible for providing periodic business information (BI) to HR and business leadership in support of strategic objectives and regulatory requirements. This includes provision of key people metrics incorporating headcount analysis, turnover, ED&I data, leave, and performance amongst others. The team also supports the provision of ad hoc management information requests of people data for HR and business teams.

Evelyn Partners have recently rolled out a Power BI solution to aid HR MI production processes and analysis opportunities. This will enable the level of sophistication of the function to evolve multiple fold in the future. With the new capability to support a broader range of HR and business data requests, there is an identified opportunity for a skilled data professional to join and lead the four-person team.

Reporting to the Head of HR Technology and People Analytics, the People Analytics Manager will lead the team to deliver the current reporting offerings and conceptualise, design, build and produce an expanded, comprehensive range of HR reporting and analytics, and meaningful insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the activities and output of the People Analytics team, which includes:Production of periodic, strategic HR BI reporting for HRD/Business Heads to Board level, including trend insights, using Power BIProduction of ad hoc HR MI reporting requested to support day-to-day operational needs, using Power BI
  • Develop and implement strategy for evolving People Analytics function
  • Review and revise People Analytics team tools and processes to identify opportunities to incorporate best practice data analysis techniques, and offer greater analytics and insights
  • Expert knowledge of prevailing data management industry best practice theories, tools and techniques
  • Expert data analysis skills
  • Partner with other HR Services’ teams such as HR Associates, ER, Global Mobility and Talent Acquisition, and other HR teams more broadly including L&D and Rewards, HRBPs, and Finance’s Payroll team to identify and implement opportunities for enhancement of processes and procedures
  • Identify and drive further technology change and integration to support the People Analytics function
  • Become proficient in understanding data models and data structures of key HR systems, including Netsuite
  • Promote Power BI and the value of people analytics and HR MI within HR, and more broadly across the organisation
  • Manage the allocation and completing of work across team members
  • Coach and develop team members skills and competencies
  • Qualifications

    Key Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience leading a data analysis team in a Financial Services institution
  • Expert Excel skills – including Power Query, Power Pivot
  • Strong knowledge and skills of cloud-based reporting applications, including Power BI
  • Ability to plan time and meet deadlines independently, whilst working within the team
  • Ability to take ownership of responsibilities
  • A strong control focus
  • Inclination to proactively identify opportunities for improvement across the data analysis and MI report production processes
  • Developed communication and influencing skills
  • Data analysis experience within an HR or Finance function of a financial institution
  • Experience creating high production value reporting for senior management
  • Experience working with Netsuite or another HR system of record (such as Workday)
  • Qualifications and Education

  • Microsoft Power BI PT300T00 certification
  • Degree qualified with a data analysis focus or numerical discipline is preferred
  • Other relevant certifications in data analysis
