The Supply Register are currently working in partnership with Ark Acton Academy, based in West London to find a passionate PE Teacher to join their team from September 2024

About the roleWe are recruiting an exceptional team of staff to support the next stage of development of a genuinely transformational school.

We are looking for candidates who are able to demonstrate the highest expectations of student effort and conduct and are able to do so with kindness and warmth.

The successful candidate will join a very strong PE department and will work collaboratively to shape PE provision at the school, embed the school vision and develop an outstanding school that empowers our students to take responsibility and drive their own destinies.

Responsibilities

• Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
• Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils
• Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
• Plan and teach well structured lessons
• Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils
• Make accurate and productive use of assessment
• Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment
• Fulfil wider professional responsibilities

Requirements

• Must be a Qualified PE Teacher with QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
• Must hold the right to work for the UK
• Must hold an enhanced DBS registered on the update service or be willing to process one
• Must be able to provide a minimum of 2 professional references to cove the last 2 years
