Payroll Officer in Gateshead

Our client, an established Accountants & Business advisor firm based just south of Gateshead are seeking to hire a Payroll Officer ASAP! They provide comprehensive accounting services to a diverse client base.They are seeking a meticulous and dedicated individual to join a supportive and collaborative work environment. The right candidate would be operating in a team of 3 and has a great opportunity to impress in the business and take responsibility for their payroll services.Payroll Officer - Position Overview Payroll Processing: Accurately processing weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls for multiple clients.Compliance: Ensuring compliance with current payroll legislation and regulations.Deductions: Calculating and processing statutory and voluntary deductions, including tax, National Insurance, pensions, and other deductions.Reports: Generating payroll reports and summaries for clients.Records Maintenance: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date payroll records and employee information.Client Liaison: Responding to client inquiries related to payroll, providing timely and accurate information and assistance.Year-End Processes: Assisting with year-end processes, including P60s and P11Ds.Continuous Improvement: Identifying and implementing improvements to payroll processes and systems.Payroll Officer - Position Requirements Qualified by experience or a relevant qualification.Experience in finance clerical roles.Experience of dealing with large volumes of data and financial information.Good knowledge of Outlook and Excel.Excellent numerical skill and attention to detail.Willing to go the extra mile for their clients.Responsible and Well Organised.A strong understanding of Corporation Tax And Allowances is beneficial.Payroll Officer - Position Remuneration Salary of £27,000 to £30,000 depending on experience25 days holiday + bank holidaysBirthday offMonday to FridayFlexible hoursDeath in ServiceCompany pensionStreamline Search is acting as a Recruitment Agency in relation to this vacancy, and in accordance with GDPR by applying to this post you are granting us consent to process your data and contact you in relation to this application
