We are currently looking for a Payroll Assistant to join our head office Finance team on a part time permanent basis. Your role as the Payroll Assistant will be to support the Payroll Manager with the preparation, process and administration of monthly payroll.

What you will do

Assist in all payroll administrative tasks

Gathers and tracks all payroll changes from HR

Support payroll manager with all tasks related to running the monthly payroll, including reconciliation and submission of pension deduction data to the Company's pension provider.

Process court orders, mortgage references, Child Support Agency questionnaires and statutory payments such as maternity, paternity, parental leave and SSP.

Keep Payments & deductions spreadsheet up to date and support the annual year end process including P11ds and PSA

Maintain and review the payroll inboxes, dealing with or escalating colleague queries in a timely and professional manner

Any other ad hoc requests as and when required

What you will need

Previous payroll experience essential

Intermediate Excel skills essential, advanced preferred.

Willingness to learn and adapt quickly

Experience and confidence handling high volume complex payrolls and deadlines.

Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
