We are looking for an attentive individual to join Talbots as Paralegal within the Court of Protection Department. To be successful, you will have at least a minimum of 6 months experience of legal administration of Court of Protection management.

As a Paralegal will be expected to provide lawyers in our trust and estates team with typing and administrative support on a court of protection matters.

What the job involves:

• Deal proactively with a wide range of clients across a variety of communication methods, including email and telephone.
• Court of Protection and LPA administration such as drafting and completing applications, letters to register order, annual deputy reports, benefit claim forms and financial assessment forms; as well as paying bills and reconciling bank statements and monitoring balances.
• Update relevant software such as SOS and maintaining compliance requirements inline with SRA, Lexcel, Law Society Quality scheme Standards, SARs and accounting requirements.

What you need:

• At least 12 months experience of working as Paralegal, with working knowledge of the legal administration of Court of Protection management.
• To be passionate about giving outstanding client care to both clients and referrals and have excellent administrative, planning, and organisational skills.
• Working knowledge on how to use case management systems and Microsoft Office application, and capable of working and supporting a team.
