An excellent opportunity has arisen for a paralegal in the funds department of a top US firm.

The Firm

The firm are top tier in the US and have been growing their London office. In the past two years they have doubled in size and have attracted partners from Magic Circle and other top US firms.

Due to the influx of work they have also doubled their paralegal pool, and most interesting they have started to offer training contracts. All trainees were past paralegals at the firm and all future trainees are current paralegals.

The Department

The funds department are top tier and a number of the team are highly ranked in Chambers and the Legal 500.

You will join a number of paralegals in the department and sit with the associates so are really integrated with the team.

The Role

The paralegal role is varied and will include the usual paralegal duties as well as tasks more akin to a trainee. These may include:

Setting up and managing trackers
Reviewing subscription documents
Reviewing prospectuses
Data room management
Preparing transaction bibles
Liaising with I
Document management
Conducting due diligence
Legal research

The Requirements

Excellent academics are essential and ideally you will have completed the LPC with relevant corporate electives. As you will need to hit the ground running, funds paralegal experience is required, but they are flexible to what type of firm this has been at (US or City).

This is a permanent funds paralegal role and will have fantastic prospects for progression for the right paralegal.

However the firm are open to making this a contract role and so welcome future trainees who have secured training contracts to start in September next year or later to apply.
