Are you an experienced Optical Assistant in the Central London area looking for a new role in a high end, family-run group of independent opticians working in an all-round role?

YOU MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 1-2 YEARS EXPERIENCE WITHIN OPTICS, AND BE ABLE TO DISPENSE TO ALL LEVELS.

Full time role- 37.

5 hours a week.

My client is looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to take on an all round role from dispensing to admin and reception duties.

Located in an excellent location, this attractive practice is equipped to the highest standard and boasts an excellent customer base and products on offer.

You will be working in a 1-test room practice within a team of 3 (resident Optometrist, Practice Manager, Dispensing Optician).

The practice offer 45-min to 1-hour test times and also offer enhanced services such as Myopia control and dry eye, meaning you will be able to develop your knowledge and add more variation to your daily role.

Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant

The ideal candidate will have had experience as an Optical Assistant and can competently work to their own initiative.

What is also important, is your ability to build rapport and converse with patients, while getting involved in the day-to-day tasks of the store.

Your main responsibilities will be dispensing to all levels, admin/ reception duties with occasional OCT testing, Widefield testing and Fields.

Requirements of the Optical Assistant

At least 2 years of experience as an Optical Assistant ideally within an independent, however they will consider a range of backgrounds.

A friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic.

A customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.

Compensation for the Optical Assistant

For your efforts a competitive salary of up to £28,000 is on offer.

Working 8:45-5:30 Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays (appointment only).
