Night Manager - YHA London Earls Court in London

YHA Earls Court are looking to recruit a Night Manager for a minimum 25 hours per week. This is a flexible contract and although not a set arrangement, the working pattern for this role is usually four nights working, four nights off.

YHA London Earls Court is just a short walk from Earl's Court Underground station and is really easy to find and makes for a convenient base for a cheap London break. Situated on an affluent residential street, the hostel is a gorgeous Victorian building and boasts a courtyard garden which guests can make the most of during the summer. Close to Olympia, Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park, the Natural History Museum and the Royal Albert Hall, the surrounding area has attractions aplenty to enjo y.

What Skills and Experience do you need to be a Night Manager?

Our Night Manager role requires flexibility to cover different tasks & responsibilities. It’s an advantage but not essential to have previously worked in a face-to-face role with customers. Experience in hospitality or customer service is desirable.

Duties vary so good communication skills, excellent timekeeping and basic IT skills are advantages.

Knowledge and understanding of YHA’s core purpose and experience of working in a team would also be beneficial.

What will you be doing as Night Manager?

Our Night Managers are responsible for ensuring the quality of service is maintained throughout the night, delivering excellent service to all of our guests and giving them a great experience with YHA.

Your day-to-day duties may include:

• Directing and supporting team members working on reception
• Resolving difficult situations and emergencies in a professional and efficient manner
• Ensuring the security of the hostel
• Responsible service of alcohol
• Ensuring regular hostel inspections
• Carrying out cleaning duties
• Preparing for breakfast service
