Job Title: Motor Vehicle Lecturer

Location: Huntingdon, Cambridge

Salary: £27,425-£40,369 per annum

Contract: Full time, permanent

 

Teaching Personnel Permanent Workforce Team are currently partnered with a leading Further Education provider who we are currently assisting with recruiting a new Motor Vehicle Lecturer to start in the new academic year.

We are looking to speak with any experienced Motor Vehicle Engineers who may be considering a change into Education, or any experienced Lecturers/Trainers who have previously taught the subject up to Level 3, either within a College setting or on site. 

 

Purpose of the role: 

As a Motor Vehicle Mechanical Teacher, you will provide supervision of your curriculum area, ensuring that you meet budget, quality, and operational targets.

You will deliver high quality, learner-focused education providing a secure and friendly environment in order for your students to succeed.

In your role you will plan, lead, and develop the curriculum area within the establishment to ensure compliance with the national curriculum framework, the integration of functional skills, best practice, and quality targets. 

 

Key Duties :

  • Deliver inspirational teaching and access to learning across a range of programmes, and to learners with a range of ages and abilities.
  • Provide teaching and assessment opportunities in line with the relevant awarding body requirements to promote access to achievement.
  • Develop and maintain teaching materials including handouts, assignments, booklists, assessment papers and electronic resources.
  • Prepare Schemes of Work and Schemes of Assessment.
  • Undertake the necessary administrative tasks required for the effective operation of programmes in the area.
  • Carry out moderation/assessment and verification.

 

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate of education or PGCE or equivalent
  • Current and valid industry specialism
  • Minimum Level 3 occupational qualification
  • English and maths minimum level 2 Grace C or grade 4 and above
