Forde Recruitment are currently looking for an MOT Tester to join our team at our clients dealership in Sheffield.With dealerships across Yorkshire, they are large enough to help with any motoring requirement whilst remaining small enough to retain the family, friendly feel.Location: SheffieldSalary: Up to £40,000Day to day duties? * Conduct MOT tests on a wide range of vehicles, including cars, vans and light commercial vehicles, in accordance to DVSA guidelines * Perform comprehensive inspections of vehicle components and systems, including brakes, suspension, steering, exhaust emissions, lights and tyres * Utilise specialised diagnostic equipment, tools and testing procedures to accurately assess the condition and performance of vehicles during MOT inspections * Identify and document any defects, faults, or discrepancies found during the MOT test, noting the severity and implications for road safety and environmental compliance * Adhere to all company Health and Safety legislation * Provide clear and detailed explanations regarding the results of the MOT test, including any necessary repairs or maintenance required to pass the test * Communicate with Service Advisors to explain repair recommendations and address any concerns or questions * Complete all relevant paperwork, documentation, and electronic records accurately and promptly, adhering to regulatory and administrative procedures * Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries * The successful candidate will receive full training and the opportunity to work with one of the most dynamic and exciting brands.You will have: * Qualified MOT Tester status accredited by DVSA or an approved training provider * Experience in conducting MOT tests and vehicle inspections * Knowledge of automotive systems, components, diagnostic tools, and regulations related to MOT testing * Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards * Effective communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts and repair procedures to non-technical team members * A full driving license, valid in the UK with no disqualificationsBenefits: * We offer a competitive salary package dependent on experience * 30 days of holiday (inclusive of bank holidays) * Enhanced Maternity package * Cycle2Work scheme * Contributory workplace pension scheme * Referral schemeThis vacancy is being advertised on behalf of Forde Recruitment Ltd who are operating as an Employment Business.
