Meridian Business Support are delighted to be working with one of the UKs largest independent autocentre chains to recruit an MOT Tester in Orpington.The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach to tasks and be able to manage their own workload, be an excellent communicator with proven experience of working in a busy retail environment in an automotive setting.The main objective of the role will be to MOT test light vehicles as set out by DVSA in a safe and efficient manner.The successful candidate will be part of a small team, but should be equally happy working on their own and should take a great degree of pride in carrying out tasks to an extremely high standard.Job Responsibilities:
All MOT Testers must hold a valid MOT Tester licence which is issued by the DVSA
To carry out MOT test to DVSA standard and input the details on the DVSA computer system
To fit any product specified by the Company to customer vehicles and carry out a range of ancillary services to customer vehicles
To maintain the cleanliness of the Centre and its equipment on an ongoing basis
To increase sales of products and services offered by the Company, in accordance with procedures
To adhere to the Companys Policy & Procedures
To comply with reasonable instructions from Management
The company will supply you with uniform, it must be clean and presentable at all times
To be available for work at the times specified by the Company
There are training opportunities to further your career within the Company.The role reports directly to the Centre Manager.Salary: Dependent on experienceHours: The Company's normal opening times are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6.00pm, Saturday 8.30am hours to 5.00pm hours and Sunday 10.00am to 4.00pm.
