DCS Manufacturing is a leading Distributor, Manufacturer, and Exporter of Health, Beauty, and Household products. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Mixer/Blender to play a crucial role in our success, with experience ideally in industries like chemicals, detergents, solvents, paints, alcohol, or building materials (cement). Candidates from food mixing backgrounds will be considered, but additional mixing experience is highly desired as food mixing differs significantly from our operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Full responsibility for the mixing operations within the manufacturing facility.
  • Follow established safety, hygiene, and quality standards to ensure compliance.
  • Operate and maintain mixing equipment and machinery for the production of various products.
  • Test and approve mixed products to meet required specifications.
  • Manage raw material handling, ensuring proper receipt and storage.
  • Lead 5S deployment across the mixing area to maintain an organised workspace.
  • Collaborate with management and colleagues to troubleshoot and resolve production problems.
  • Execute production plans to meet demand and quality standards.
  • Support the engineering team by reporting maintenance requirements and assisting with repairs.
  • Continuously improve mixing processes and procedures to optimise efficiency.
  • Train new team members on mixing procedures, equipment operation, and safety practices.
  • Maintain accurate records for production, quality control, and inventory management.


Training Requirements:

  • HR, Health & Safety, and Quality Management System Inductions.
  • Relevant job-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health), Manual Handling Awareness, PPT (Powered Pallet Truck), Tensor, SAGE.
  • Any other training relevant to the role.


Qualification Requirements:

  • RQF Level 2 / GCSE (Grades A*-C) or equivalent in Maths and English.
  • Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) licence.


Experience/Competencies Required:

  • Experience in FMCG manufacturing/production processes.
  • Previous experience in mixing environments, ideally in chemicals, detergents, solvents, paints, alcohol, or building materials.
  • Technical knowledge of mixing equipment and processes.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team.
  • Understanding of ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards.
  • Record-keeping and documentation skills for production and quality assurance.
