Job Description

Reporting to the MEP Commercial Manager.

The MEP Senior Quantity surveyor will be responsible for the commercial MEP fit-out across HS2 S1 and S2 lots.

You will be responsible for both main and subcontract administration, working closely with the MEP team.

• Manage commercial personnel across various tasks including cost control, reporting, contract compliance, and client liaison.
• Oversee project governance and ensure adherence to contracts.
• Draft and review subcontract documents, analyse tenders, and support with tender responses.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and MEP team resource planning.
• Ensure adherence to company and client environmental and sustainability policies.
• Support the MEP team with subcontracts, procurement, and construction planning.
• You should have experience in construction contracts, finance, negotiation, and team leadership.
• Proven track record in commercial construction with strong financial and negotiation skills.
• Experience in drafting contracts, managing documents, and creating reports.
• Knowledge of construction law and experience implementing company strategies.
• Problem-solving skills with a creative and methodical approach.
• Strong analytical skills and a desire to continuously improve.

Overview

Position - MEP Senior Quantity Surveyor – Permanent

Salary - £60k +£5k car allowance

Locations – Split between North Acton and West Ruislip.
