MEH Planner in Bridgwater

You will support the long-term success of planning performance for specified engines/sectors/hubs, and the overall contribution to the broader company goals. 

You will support the planning function in ensuring projects and tenders are effectively planned, scheduled, and monitored. 

Support the IPC Planning Manager and/or PCM in the implementation and maintenance of Integrated Project Controls processes for Planning, including the production of monthly reports, through the provision of intelligent information and analysis.

Collaborate with other Disciplines of Integrated Project Controls, as well as other Project Support Functions, to help deliver Project goals in keeping with the project principles of Trust, Transparency and Teamwork.

Maintain an awareness of schedule interfaces with other Programmes and their potential impact.

Produce and maintain the schedule baseline IWS in Primavera 6 (P6), with fully logic-linked work plans aligned to the Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and utilising approved construction techniques.

Ensure the Level 2 IWS is updated to an agreed timeframe for monthly reporting.

Ensure the project Level 3 schedules are updated when required to reflect work progress and performance, to an agreed timeframe defined by the Central Controls Team.

Ensure that contractor schedules are produced in accordance with project processes and ensure that they align to the IWS forecast position.

Maintain daily and weekly work planning in 4D model.

Provide quality checks on the Scheduling data.

Identify, analyse and provide solutions to time-related issues.

Co-ordinate and produce schedule reports to a defined reporting cycle.

Assist in the Trend & Change process, including analysis of schedule impact, generating performance indicators and providing feedback on areas of risk and opportunities.

Adhere to Project governance and Scheduling standards and procedures.

Ensure all Project documents, in particular Sensitive Nuclear Information, are correctly protectively marked, and protected in accordance with client policies and procedures.

You will support senior management in negotiations, contract development and other business development, ensuring that due diligence is applied.

Minimum of HND or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Construction or another related field.

Proven relevant experience in a Project Management or Project Controls environment in a similar Scheduling role.

Experience in the use of scheduling software, ideally Primavera P6 version 7 and above.

Working knowledge of schedule risk analysis techniques.

The ability to build relationships both internally and externally.

Good commercial awareness.

Working knowledge of French and/or Chinese languages an advantage.

Degree in Engineering, Construction or another related field.

Professionally qualified with chartered or equivalent status.

Experience of commercial contracting.

Relevant degree in the built environment, business/management studies, etc.., or NVQ level 3.

Membership of APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE, AACE, IRM, IEMA or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.

Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise.

Strong commercial and financial acumen.

Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.

Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.

Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
