Mechanical SupervisorLocation – Chipping WardenLooking for a Mechanical Supervisor who will be to joining a Tier 1 contractor and work on a large rail projectResponsibilitiesThe Mechanical Supervisor will be expected to supervise and control all mechanical site activities in the most efficient manner, to the specification and within the contract time and cost allowances.
Support the site manager in maintaining a safe working environment for all employees, supply chain partners and visitorsEnsure that all relevant health and safety documents are correctly recorded.
Check that all relevant documents adequately describe the work to be carried outSupervise work to ensure that it is carried out in accordance with method statements and work Instructions from the project managerRecord the progress of works on record drawings or other suitable means when requiredInspect and record incoming materials and their documentation when requiredRecord the location of materials within the works where traceability is requiredRecord all non-conformance and improvement opportunities and agree action with the person in charge of the worksRecognise the health and safety considerations are central to all tasks and contribute to ensure safe working environments for allExperience RequiredPrevious experience in a Mechanical Supervisor positionYou will be expected to have experience working within large Civils projects - rail experience desirableMechanical / Industry experience essential“VGC Personnel are acting as an employment business in relation to this vacancy
