Apply NowA leading UK steel company, renowned for supplying a wide range of high-quality products, is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their Midlands site.
Role Overview: As part of a dedicated 2-person team, you will work alongside an Electrical Engineer within a heavy industrial steel processing environment.
Your responsibilities will include both preventative maintenance tasks and reactive responses to plant breakdowns and repairs.
Additionally, you will be involved in installation work on machinery within the factory.
Key Responsibilities: Installation work on factory and process machinery Working with machinery such as tube mills, slitting and decoiling/blanking lines, presses, coiling machinery, and overhead cranes Work on hydraulic and pneumatic systems General welding and fabrication Oxygen/acetylene burning Bench fitting Forklift, cherry picker and OHC operation Basic electrical fault finding Requirements: The successful Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will: Hold a recognised mechanical qualification Ability to carry out basic electrical fault finding Have experience within a heavy industry or foundry environment Demonstrate a wide range of skills for e.

bench fitting, pneumatics and hydraulics with general assembly skills On Offer for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer: A basic salary of £36,000 A rotating 3-shift pattern (40 hours per week) Overtime available (double time on Sundays and Bank Holidays) 33 days holiday Pension Scheme Simply Health and Sovereign Health Care Plans Based in the Midlands, this role is commutable from Stourbridge, Dudley, Wolverhampton, and surrounding areas.
