Job Title: Mechanical Design EngineerLocation: LeicestershireContract Details: PermanentSalary: £34,000 - £43,000 per annum + benefitsHours: 37.5 hrs p/w-Days (early finish on Friday's)About Our Client:Our client is a leading engineering company that specialises in delivering innovative solutions in the mechanical design industry. Join their dynamic team and contribute to the creation of revolutionary designs that push the boundaries of engineering.Responsibilities:Design and develop mechanical components and systems for various projectsCollaborate with internal teams, including electrical engineers and project managers, to ensure successful project deliveryCreate detailed engineering drawings and models for manufacturingConduct feasibility studies and analyse design optionsPerform calculations and simulations to validate design requirementsParticipate in design reviews and provide feedback for continuous improvementDevelop design specifications and support the procurement processEnsure compliance with industry standards and regulationsTroubleshoot design issues and propose effective solutionsEssential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldSolid understanding of engineering drawings (electrical and mechanical)Proficiency in 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks or AutoCADStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentDesirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):Experience in the design of industrial machinery or equipmentKnowledge of manufacturing processes and materials selectionFamiliarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) softwareProject management experienceTechnologies:AutoCAD/Vault/AutodeskFinite Element Analysis (FEA)Adecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
