Maths teacher - Rochdale - September A dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher is required to work at a large secondary school in Rochdale from September on a full time basis to cover a permanent member of staff who will be on maternity leave for the full academic year, until Jul 2025. This position is five days a week, full time, and is open to ECTs as well as experienced Maths teachers. You will be required to become fully involved within the department & school, like a permanent member of staff, and attend departmental meetings when required, and be available for parents' evenings as well as planning and delivering captivating, high standard lessons that will stretch the pupils in their learning. You will also be required to mark the work and provide feedback along the way. CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS: Location Rochdale Position Maths Teacher (KS3/4) Type of work Teaching Start date September 2024 End date - July 2025 Contract type Temporary Full time Minimum rate of pay from £153 per day Hours 8:15am 4pm EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS: Degree educated with a good classification, preferably in Mathematics (however, it is not essential that it is Maths related) Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, B.Ed, QTS, etc) in Maths Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference) Experience of teaching in a Secondary School (which we can reference) Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training) Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, again, we can provide the training) TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of £45.80 Provide a minimum of two professional references If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up to date CV.
