Maintenance Technician in West Yorkshire

GI Group are recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to join our team at a well-established client based in Bradford, our client is globally known for their advanced technology with innovative turbocharger technology located in BD4 on the Euro-way industrial estate.Our client is offering a competitive salary of circa £35k per year with excellent benefits Shift: Monday-Friday40 hours per weeekSome weekend and Bank Holiday work may be requiredWhat we are looking for:Someone to maintain buildings (internally and externally), out-buildings, yards, and services tothe required and recognized standards within the required building regulations. Toassist with the supervision of contractors.Demonstrates an advanced level of knowledge to ensure the upkeep of facilities andstandardsOur Ideal Candidate Basic level of general education.1+ years of related experience within a manufacturing / engineering environment.Effective communication skills.PC literate including MS Office.Previous experience of using ERP System (preferred).Plumbing skills (C&G).Basic D.I.Y skills; stud wall's, plastering etc.Key responsabilities:Responsible for adhering to all relevant standards and legal requirements.Supports the execution of Risk Assessments, Safety Walks (operations), 5S audits and Layered Audits (operational) associated with scope of facilities role.Responsible for ensuring that the working areas is left in a safe and clean state after completing a task.Responsible for the disposal of any waste according to environmental guidelines.Responsible for escalating any concerns about non-confirming activities (including processes) utilities and facilities.Responsible for Work Instruction updates and amendments.Responsible for the adoption of lean philosophies, lean processes, and improvement / CI activities.Participates in consultation for internal and external non-compliance matters.What we offer:* 33 holidays per year(inc Bank holidays)* On going work* Lockers * Onsite Gym* Subsidised canteen* Onsite parking* Large fridges to store packed lunch* Break out areas* Shower Facilities Our client values all technicians and offer full support and development to enable you to reach your full potential.
