Apply NowElevation Recruitment Group are working alongside an international Chemical company to recruit a Maintenance Planner to join their Scunthorpe facility.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager the Maintenance Planner will provide support for the maintenance team by effectively planning/scheduling work orders, overseeing inventory and coordinating contractors.
Our client is looking for someone with a passion for maintenance and the drive to improve maintenance operations.
Other duties of the Maintenance Planner include:Ensure that the maintenance team have the tools and resources to complete worksRaise purchase orders and process invoice queries on behalf of the maintenance teamIdentify, schedule and coordinate contractors.
Generate and issue permits to workOversee spare parts inventoryChallenge suppliers on cost and quality to ensure the best value for moneyPlan/schedule maintenance activities in the CMMS whilst communicating to stakeholdersIdentify labour requirements and perform resource levelling for work ordersCreate, close off and assign work orders in CMMSProcess corrective maintenance work requestsInspect completed work orders for adherence to expected standardsUse CMMS/Excel and Microsoft programs to monitor achievement to scheduleTrain and coach users on site CMMSSelect PM/Pdm/CBM/RTF strategies as appropriate to prevent failure causes and eliminate failure modesConduct continuous improvement activities such as root cause analysis to improve maintenance performance and best practicesWe are keen to speak with Maintenance Planners with the following skills/experience:NVQ3 Mechanical or Electrical maintenanceHNC Electrical/Electronic EngineeringPrevious maintenance planning/coordinating or supervisory experience.
Computer literate and comfortable using Microsoft programs and CMMS programs.
