Key Responsibilities:
Signing and Sealing
• Coordinating the signing and sealing process for the Group.
• Ensuring records are kept accurately and accordance with policy.
• Dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
• Obtaining signatures from the board.
Company Secretarial
• Administering the statutory register system.
• Submitting confirmation statements and other changes on the Companies House portal.
• Updating company minute books.
• Preparing the dormant accounts.
• Researching and producing briefing notes on legislative and governance changes.
• Supporting with the collation of information and data for the statutory and regulatory accounts.
Consumer Credit
• Performing checks in respect of the Financial Conduct Authority compliance monitoring programme.
• Requesting and collating information for financial regulatory returns.
• Assisting with general enquiries.
Reporting and compliance
• Supporting with the production of the weekly Legal report.
• Ensuring all records are maintained accurately.
• Coordinating the Legal team’s policy review and renewal process.
• Assisting with the bond compliance process.
Essential qualifications and experience
• Qualified to degree level, preferably in Law.
• Able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise work efficiently.
• Advanced IT skills including Excel.
• Concise management reporting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Resilient and resourceful.
• Able to work on their own initiative as part of a small team.
Desirable qualifications and experience
• Experience in a customer focussed role.
• Legal or Company Secretarial background, and/or qualification.
