Legal Secretary in Royal Leamington Spa

Leamington SpaSalary c£23k dependent on experienceWe are working with a leading Lexcel accredited, regional law firm who are succession planning for their expanding Private Client (Wills and Probate) Department.

The role has come about due to existing staff progressing their careers within the firm, demonstrating the firm's commitment to training and development. 

We are looking to attract an experienced Legal Secretary to support their Private Client team at their lovely head office in Leamington Spa town centre.

Experience within wills and probate work would be an advantage but is not essential, provided candidates have previous, up to date, legal secretarial and administration experience. 

The role will involve:Supporting the Private Client team with secretarial and administrative dutiesDrafting correspondence and legal documents related to wills, trusts, probate, lasting powers of attorney and estate administrationDealing with clients by phone, email and face to face in a sympathetic and professional mannerAudio and copy typingScanning, copying and filingOpening, closing and archiving filesUsing a legal case management systemDiary managementSuitable candidates will have:Previous, recent legal administration or legal secretarial experiencePrevious wills and probate experience (preferred but not essential as training will be given)Accurate keyboard skills Experience of using a legal case management systemExcellent communication skillsGood organisational skillsThe ability to work well as part of a team and prioritise your workloadA passion for working in the private client fieldThis is a full time, office based, permanent job, working 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday (35 hours per week)Benefits include:Annual salary reviews23 days’ holiday (increasing to 27), plus 8 days’ bank holidays 2 days’ additional leave between Christmas and New Year (office closure)Your birthday off, from your second year of employmentHoliday buy and sell scheme.
