Legal Counsel - Fully Remote

As an In-House Lawyer at Randstad UK & Ireland, you will work under the guidance of the Head of Legal Services, supporting a wide range of legal matters that impact our business operations. This role involves both contentious and non-contentious legal work, with a strong emphasis on efficiently and cost-effectively managing a high volume of tasks while aligning with the strategic goals of the organisation.

In this role you will:

• Lead negotiations for a variety of client agreements, including amendments to Randstad standard terms and negotiations of client own terms.
• Provide support to senior team members in the review and negotiation of complex client agreements.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of a contracting strategy, including supporting training initiatives.
• Assist the sales team and Contract Manager in addressing legal risks in a sales-friendly manner for new bids.
• Conduct contract reviews and provide "ready to send" legal comments to streamline the workload for the pursuit lead.
• Review and negotiate supplier contracts.
• Work with Legal and Business Assurance colleagues on cost-effective resolutions for complaints and disputes.

Experience

• Qualified lawyer admitted to practise in the UK/Ireland.
• Recruitment or other service industry experience is preferred but not essential.
• Commercial contracts experience in a 'supplier' organisation is desirable.
• Basic dispute resolution knowledge.
• Understanding of contracting considerations related to outsourcing, procurement, and supply chain contracting.
• Experience in RFP/sales support for competitive tender situations with limited negotiation opportunities.
• Familiarity with the dynamics of working in a medium to large international company.
