Lead Quantity SurveyorSalary - £45k-£55k (Car allowance - £4k-£6k)Location – WarringtonTXM Recruit is currently working with one of the largest property services contractors in the UK in search for an ambitious Lead Quantity Surveyor to support within their social housing sector.This Lead Quantity Surveyor role will be based full time in their Warrington office, Monday to Friday. Occasional travel will be expected to carry out surveys for large scale tenders.Lead Quantity Surveyor duties will include but not limited to – * Leading a team of Quantity Surveyors, and Trainee Quantity Surveyors * Solid understanding of CVR’s & comfortable compiling them * Overseeing commercials on large projects * Check contract/tender documentation and eliminate areas of risk * Develop and maintain several specialist subcontract and supplier contacts * Monitor all ongoing contract costs against those detailed in the original tender. * Highlight variations from anticipated costs and resolve promptly. * Record all variations, extras etc. and agree with the client. * Head up a department to manage quote opportunities, debt & invoicing targets * Ensure submitted invoices are paid on time * Monitor and accrue sales rebates * Ensure that financial reports accurately reflect the status of contracts in respect of progress, valuations, billings and collectable cashBenefits – * 21 days holiday + bank holidays * Car allowance * Pension * Bonus * Employee Assistance Programme * Refer a Friend Bonus SchemeThe ideal Lead Quantity Surveyor must have – * Experience of overseeing commercials on large projects * Ideally have experience in Social Housing working for a contractor * Must have a solid understanding of CVR’s & comfortable compiling them * Ambition to progress * Good organisation and communication skills * Comfortable working in a team * Comfortable aiming towards targets and pushing individuals towards targetsIf you are a Lead Quantity Surveyor looking for a new role apply now or call Elle-Mae Ball at TXM on (phone number removed).TXM Recruit is an equal opportunities employer.
