Elevation Recruitment Group are currently partnered with a heavy manufacturer in Sheffield who are looking for a Lead Quality Inspector to join the business. Turning over £15 million, the business produce high-quality metal based products for a range of industries including rail and power generation. This role will be days only Monday-Friday and will supervise a team of 4 Quality Inspectors. Duties & Responsibilities include:Perform Inspections across all products Assist and oversee NDT inspection (MPI, UT, Visual)Dimensional Inspection / Mark Out of castings / forgings for, and after machining, to ensure conformance to design.Inspect products using traditional inspection equipment such as Micrometers, Verniers, etc.Liaise with colleagues to ensure that items for inspection are correctly identified and safely located.Produce Mark Out & As Built reports.Assist with the preparation of documents to meet customer requirements.Oversee a team of 4 Quality Inspectors Assist with training/mentoring of new starters and apprenticesContainment of NCRs, investigation and corrective actionsI'm keen to speak to experienced Quality Inspector's with the following skillset:Experienced Quality Inspector in castings/forgingsNDT Quals - MPI/UT/Visual desireablePrevious experience supervising a team Strong communication
