Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of approximately six software engineers, empowering them to excel.
- Provide technical mentorship and guide engineers' career development.
- Plan and delegate tasks, ensuring clear ownership and project success.
- Champion the hiring process, representing their mission and culture to potential candidates.
- Onboard new team members and ensure a smooth integration.
- Conduct regular team meetings, one-on-ones, and performance reviews.
- Set and track goals for individuals and the team, providing constructive feedback.
- Identify and implement process improvements for greater efficiency.
- Communicate effectively across all levels, keeping everyone informed about progress and challenges.
- Mitigate risks and ensure project success.
- Report progress and achievements to the Engineering organization.
Are You a Fit?
- You have 5 years of experience leading software engineering teams.
- You possess a strong technical background and can provide guidance to engineers.
- You come from a software engineering background (ideally Java).
