Lead Developer – Digital Products and Applications

Harvey Nash are delighted to have partnered with The University of Salford. Join the Digital Products and Applications team within Digital IT (DIT) at the University of Salford. As a Lead Developer, you will guide the Development team through all stages of product development, from concept to production release and beyond. Collaborate with colleagues, third-party suppliers, and strategic partners to design, develop, and test functionalities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to Digital IT strategic planning and build strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Plan and allocate development resources for projects, promoting Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with InfoSec standards and drive continuous improvement and automation.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage the development team to deliver high-quality services.
  • Support testing, deployment, and integration of software changes/releases, resolving support calls and producing high-quality system designs and specifications.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Graduate qualification or relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in transitioning to a DevOps culture, with skills in continuous integration, delivery, infrastructure as code, and collaboration.
  • Proven track record of continuous improvement and increased use of automation.
  • Experience in leading, managing, and coaching a high-performing software development team.
  • Experience with .NET & Azure
