You will be joining a team of 3 experienced Technicians who will be available to offer support and assistance as you settle into your new role. Come and join Refresco UK as an NPD Lab Technician and play a key role in our product development process!Lab Technician6 months FTCPart-Time – 19 hours per weekWhat you’ll be doing as a Lab Technician  The NPD Technician maintains the development lab, supports NPD Technologists with new and existing product development, and assists the Optimisation Manager with Value Engineering to meet Refresco UK's budgets. They handle tasks such as maintaining raw material stocks, sample preparation, and product specification validation through analytical testing. Additionally, they update and maintain laboratory procedures and support product development from sample make to launch.Key responsibilities of the Lab TechnicianManage the laboratory space and equipment, including calibration, cleaning, and maintenance records.  Assist the NPD Technologist Team in the NPD process and sample preparation.  Manage raw materials and stock, ensuring they are in date and appropriate, and replenishing as needed.  Prepare/assist with customer dispatches on a daily basis.  Manage raw material receipt and assessment to maintain product quality.  Assist with sensory testing if required and maintain general department housekeeping.  Ensure all sample products are safe for consumption and made in a hygienic manner.  Liaise with production at various sites to obtain raw materials and bottles for the lab.  Ensure raw materials and equipment are technically acceptable and sourced from approved suppliers.  Support the maintenance and improvement of development systems.
